Rules & Guidelines for Students
Student Handbook
This is a guide to students on how to fully understand their roles and responsibilities in school.
Our school set a lot of rules in order to enable discipline to our beloved students. The Committee on Discipline is headed by our officer-in-charge/school representative, designated prefect of discipline, guidance counselor and class advisers.

A. Wearing of School Uniform Policies (normal and new normal settings)

Regular Uniform
Normal Situation: All students are required to wear the prescribed school uniform when entering the school during regular classes. Students are not allowed to enter the school without wearing the school uniform unless there are events that the teacher organizer authorized. If student habitually wears improper uniform, the adviser will reprimanded him or her.
​
New Normal Situation: All students are not required to wear the prescribed school uniform during online classes as mandated by DepEd.

· Uniform for Boys
a) White polo jacket with school logo
b) Blue Vest (Optional)
c) White undershirt (t-shirt or sando)
d) Blue Pants (not maong)
e) Black shoes and white socks
· Uniform for Girls
a) White blouse with blue ribbon and logo
b) Blue Vest (Optional)
c) Blue pleated skirt below the knee
d) Black shoes and white socks
· P.E. Uniform for Boys and Girls
a) White t-shirt with school logo or plain white t-shirt
b) Jogging pants
c) Rubber shoes and white socks
B. Hygiene and Grooming Policies
Students are requested to take a bath daily, brush their teeth regularly, use deodorant or anti-perspirant and cut fingernails regularly.

· Haircut (for boys)

The ears must be visible and short. (preferred barbers cut).

No dye or hair color.

. Haircut (for girls)

The hair must be properly kept

Long hair must be in ponytail to look clean

Short hair designed for boys is not allowed

No dye or hair color.

. Accessories
-
Earrings are not allowed for boys.
-
Tongue or other body parts piercing for earrings is prohibited.

Tattoo is strictly prohibited
-
Make up and nail polished is not allowed for boys and girls.
-
Body piercing is strictly prohibited especially in males.
C. School ID Policies – it is marked with 4 different line colors to represent each grade level. Grade 7 is green, Grade 8 is yellow, Grade 9 is red and Grade 10 is blue.

The identification card will be provided by the school and it will be issued by the class advisers.

Tampering of school ID a serious offense.

If the ID is lost, report this immediately to your class adviser to be replaced then provide a 1x1 picture.

Prescribed ID lace is required to be used.
D. Attendance Policies
For Normal Situation:
1. Tardiness
-
Regular classes for morning shift starts at 6:00 AM from Monday to Friday. For afternoon shift, it starts at 11:30 PM from Monday to Friday. Late comers are required to log in the log book in the guard house. A grace period of 5 minutes is given as consideration for late students. If habitual tardiness happens, class advisers will do the reprimand.
2. Absences

If a student will absent, he/she must submit an excuse letter stating the reason. Then, this must be signed by parents or guardian. In case of sickness, the excuse letter can be submitted once he/she come back to school.

The student will be given the chance to cope up with his/her missed lesson, activities and quizzes if the reason is valid and acceptable .

In case of no excuse and absences has occurred for more than 3 consecutive days, the class adviser will call the attention of the parents or guardian.
3. Truancy
-
If a student failed to communicate with the class adviser for any reason of not attending school, classes, it is considered truancy.
4. Going outside of school or leaving the classroom during classes.

The student should secure a gate pass authorized by the class adviser and subject teacher if he/she will leave the school.
-
If the student will leave the classroom for other matters such as meeting, going to the toilet, he or she must ask for permission from the subject teacher.
C. Discipline Policies and Practices
1. Offenses, Sanctions and Penalties

Minor Offenses

Long absences without excuse.

Bringing mobile phone and using it during classes without the permission of the teacher.

Improper wearing of uniform and school ID .

Improper wearing and using of School ID and uniform.

Loitering and playing during classes.

Littering around the school surroundings.

Disturbance and disrespectful to teachers.

Swearing (pagmumura)

Major Offenses
-
Bringing and using illegal drugs in the campus.
-
Watching porn videos or porn magazines in the school

Bringing deadly weapons for non-educational reasons.

Cutting classes
-
Fighting
-
Cheating/Dishonesty
-
Gambling
-
Vandalism in the classroom, school building.
-
Organizing fraternity or sorority that will cause hazing.

Destroying school properties and facilities.
-
Bringing and drinking alcoholic drinks.

Stealing the possession of classmates or property of school.

Bullying (refer to DepEd Child Protection Policy – DepEd Order no. 40 s. 2012)

Extortion or asking for money

Sexual abuse and immorality

Smoking inside the school premises

Assaulting teachers or school authority
2. Sanctions and Grievances
​Sanctions - a threatened penalty for disobeying a law or rule
Minor Offense

First Offense – to report incident and give verbal warning.

Second Offense – to report incident and call the attention of parents or guardian for conference.

Third Offense – to report incident, call the for parent-teacher conference, school intervention and community service.

Fourth Offense – penalty is at the discretion of the administrator/head of school.
Major Offense
-
First Offense – to report incident and give verbal warning.

Second Offense – to report incident and call the attention of parents or guardian for conference.

Third Offense – to report incident, call the for parent-teacher conference, school intervention and community service.

Fourth Offense – penalty is at the discretion of the administrator/head of school.

Fifth Offense – possible expulsion
Grievance - an official statement of a complaint over something believed to be wrong or unfair

Grievance Procedures
-
A written complain must be submitted address to the Officer-In-Charge or School Head.
-
The grievance committee will conduct the investigation and recommendations.
-
The Officer-In-Charge or School Head will call for a parent-teacher conference together with the concerned student/s for resolutions.

Duties and Responsibilities of Students
Students must always have a positive attitude to respond to his/her duties and responsibilities in order to become successful with their studies.

Parents and teachers on the other hand must take their role to guide and support them.

Responsibilities:

Be initiative, kind, cooperative and considerate.

Help others who are in need.
