Health and Well Being

At FFHNAS CayPombo-Annex, we ensure the safety of our learners, teachers and staff. In this time of pandemic, we focus on  promoting the mental health and well being programmes.  We make sure to monitor their health and well being through constant communication via facebook messenger, sms and through this site's emal .

Homeroom Guidance Program

The homeroom guidance program was implemented to support the crisis situation (Deped Memorandum no. 155, s. 2020, Policy Guidelines on the Implementation of Homeroom Guidance during Crisis Situation for S.Y. 2020-2021).  It is applied in our weekly class schedule/program through the facilitation of the class adviser & parents and support of the designated guidance counselor .  Homeroom Guidance Modules are available through the deped learning portal.   In this program, students are given wholesome learning experiences via distance learning that helps them foster positive attitudes, behaviors and values and improve relationship between teachers and students.

Homeroom guidance is designed to equip the learners with three domains namely:
a. Academic Development
​b. Personal and Social Development
c. Career Development

Tips for good mental health and well being 

It is important to keep you fit and healthy  to take care of your  mental health. Below are some of the things that ou need to consider to have a good health, mentally and physically. 

​

Regular Sleep

When you sleep well, it helps to regulate the chemicals in our brain that transmit information. These  are important in managing our moods and emotions. Lack of  sleep, makes us feel depressed or anxious.

​

Proper Eating and Diet

To keep our mind healthy, proper eating is important. Eating nutritious foods and balance diet must be practiced to lessen stress and anxiety. 

​

Avoid alcohol, smoking and drugs

Drinking alcohol and smoking causes diseases that creates impact on your mental health. Prolonged use might also cause the possibility of death.

​

Get Sunlight

 Vitamin D is important vitamin for our bodies and our brains. It helps our brains to release chemicals which improve our mood, like endorphins and serotonin. The best time to go out and have vitamin D from sunlight is 8:00Am and stay their for about 30 minutes. 

 

Exercise Regularly

Exercise is important in maintaining good mental health. Exercising can help eliminate low mood, anxiety, stress and feeling tired and lazy.

Have fun and enjoy

Do the things that makes you enjoy life while you stay at home. You can do some art works,  watch you favorite TV show, movies or drama series. 

​

Connect with friends and be sociable

Have a good relationships with others and have a constant communication. Friends are important and they help you to ease boredome.

​

Do voluntary works

Helping others someone can help with your self-esteem and make you feel good about your place in the world. Be part of your community and try volunteering for different activities.

​

Ask for help

In this time of pandemic, let us set aside our pride.  There's no shame in asking someone for support if you're feeling low or stressed.
